What does PS. Bar Services provide?
PS. Bar Services provides professional mobile bartending for weddings, private events, corporate functions, celebrations, and private gatherings in Calgary and surrounding areas. We also offer optional bar add-ons such as our signature bar cart, trailer bar, glassware, and future self-serve beverage stations.
Are bar tools included with bartending service?
Yes. When you book PS. Bar Services for bartending, we bring the standard tools needed to prepare and serve your selected drink menu. This may include shakers, jiggers, bar spoons, bottle openers, wine openers, pour spouts, and other basic service tools.
Is the mobile bar cart included with bartending service?
No. The bar cart is an optional add-on. Our bartending service includes the bartenders and standard tools required for service, but the physical bar setup is rented separately if your venue does not have a bar or if you want a more polished event setup.
When should I add the signature bar cart?
The signature bar cart is ideal if your venue does not have a built-in bar or if you want the bar area to look more intentional, stylish, and photo-ready. It works well for weddings, cocktail hours, backyard parties, bridal showers, birthdays, and corporate events.
Is glassware included?
Glassware is not automatically included with standard bartending service. It can be added to your package as a separate rental. We can help recommend the right glassware quantities based on your guest count, drink menu, service duration, and event style.
What types of glassware can be added?
Glassware options may include highball glasses, wine glasses, rocks glasses, champagne flutes, coupes, or other specialty glassware depending on availability.
Can I book bartending without renting the bar cart or glassware?
Yes. If your venue already has a bar setup and glassware, you can book bartending service only. We’ll still bring the standard tools required to serve your drink menu professionally.
Can I rent the bar cart without bartending service?
This may be available depending on the event, location, date, and rental requirements. Contact us with your event details and we’ll confirm whether a standalone bar cart rental is available.
Do you help with drink planning?
Yes. We can help with drink menu planning, alcohol quantity guidance, shopping lists, signature cocktail ideas, garnish planning, and general bar flow recommendations.
Do you purchase alcohol for events?
We can provide alcohol shopping support depending on your event needs. Where applicable, we can assist with shopping lists, pickup, delivery, and return coordination for unopened refundable items. Alcohol is billed separately, and receipts can be provided.
Do you help with AGLC Special Event Licences?
Yes. If your event requires a Special Event Licence, we can provide concierge support and guidance through the process. Licence requirements may vary depending on the event type, venue, and alcohol service plan.
Are your bartenders ProServe certified?
Yes. Our bartenders are required to have ProServe certification and are expected to provide responsible, professional alcohol service.
What are self-serve stations?
Self-serve stations are a future add-on option for guests to enjoy simple beverages such as mocktails, infused water, lemonade, coffee, tea, welcome drinks, or other non-complex drink setups. Availability will depend on inventory, event type, and service requirements.
Can alcohol be served at a self-serve station?
This depends on the event, licence requirements, venue rules, and Alberta liquor regulations. For alcohol service, we recommend having a bartender manage or supervise the service area to support responsible service.
Do you offer rentals beyond bar-related items?
PS. Bar Services focuses on bar-related add-ons such as the bar cart, trailer bar, glassware, and beverage service enhancements. For broader event rentals such as décor, displays, tables, and other event add-ons, we are developing a separate event rental brand.
How do I know what add-ons I need?
Send us your event date, location, guest count, venue details, drink menu, and the style of setup you want. We’ll recommend whether bartending only, bartending plus bar cart, glassware, trailer bar, or additional enhancements make sense for your event.
How far in advance should I book?
The sooner the better, especially for weddings, summer events, corporate functions, and weekends. Bar cart, trailer, glassware, and staffing availability may be limited based on your event date.
Do you provide setup and teardown?
Yes. Setup and teardown are included for the services and add-ons booked through PS. Bar Services. The exact setup requirements will depend on your venue, access, rental items, and event package.
What information do you need for a quote?
To prepare an accurate quote, we’ll need your event date, venue or location, guest count, service hours, drink menu, whether you need bartenders, and whether you’re interested in add-ons such as the bar cart, trailer bar, glassware, or self-serve station options.
